Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: [Christian in name only (C.I.N.O.), not deeds; they don’t practice what they preach. Their mouths say one thing, their deeds say something else. Precept of men means what? Traditions and commandments of men which are totally useless and vain]. All verses come from the KJV Bible. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [Not everyone who professes to be a Christian (it must be done in truth, see Psalm 145:18) will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many think just because they put on the act of being a believer (playing church), they are right with God. You must be doing the will of God, not the will of man. I'm pretty sure you don't want to be in this boat].Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. [God will reject and expose them for their evil deeds (breakers of His law), and false teachings. Why doesn't He KNOW them? Because they never took the time to KNOW Him, to keep His Word, to "study to show themselves approved unto God" (1 Tim. 2:15). As James said in James 4:8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."Their hearts were not right with God. They did not hunger and thirst and seek to consume their "daily bread", i.e. His Word. They were satisfied with milk and crumbs perhaps once a week on Sunday morning! Sure, they were very religious and went to their Beth-Avens (houses of emptiness) regularly and did all sorts of wonderful humanitarian works, etc., but they did not "keep", i.e. hold fast, His Word and they allowed themselves to be led astray into idolatry, to stand before the golden calves, which is to become a spiritual whore as the Book of Hosea so declares! Therefore, they were not sanctified according to John 17:17, were they]?Want to be a true Christian? Do something about it; be a doer. It takes action on your part; put your heart into it. Study God's word, learn the truth [John 17:17]. Learn and support Christ's doctrines only [2 John 1:9-11]. True Christianity is wonderful; it is a reality. It is not a religion, weekly ritual or a tradition of men. Earthly money can't buy you a blessing or buy you a ticket into heaven as so many have been led to believe.James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.Don’t be a C.I.N.O (Christian in name only). Study God’s word completely, cover to cover. Learn what a true Christian is. Do you know why you need to study it yourself? We are commanded to study (see 2 Timothy 2:15 in a KJV Bible). Also, see Amos 8:11 next:Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (You will not hear the words of the LORD where you thought you should hear them; you have to study the Bible yourself).Once you are forgiven or being saved as some say, (the first step), it is meant for you to move on and get into the meat of God's Word. Many choose to stay at the milk level [new Christian, easily deceived] and never become a mature Christian [getting into the meat of His word, becoming one who is not easily deceived]. Learn what He expects from you. If you choose not to study the entire Bible, how will you know anything about what you say you believe in? How can you make sound decisions when you only allow a very small part of the truth into your mind? The answer is you can't; not without the whole truth. God's Word provides answers to the problems that we all face, [if] you seek the answers. It is very important to make yourself familiar with all of God's Word on your own. It is impossible to learn what is in God's Word a few verses at a time. Ask yourself, why only a few verses once a week; who wants me uninformed and easily deceived? Once you start studying the entire Bible yourself, you can answer those questions. All verses quoted come from the KJV Bible. Grow nearer to God by studying all of His Word, and through prayer. Open up that line of communication to Him. The power of prayer is truly awesome. Seek and you shall find [Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 7:7; Luke 11:9]; don't be lazy, do you want wisdom and knowledge [Ephesians 1:17]? Try it, you'll like it. But, remember, you must obey Him. He tells you that in many places and in many ways. It might be time to be weaned off of milk [Isaiah 28:9-10, 13-14], and get into the meat of God's word. Hebrews 5:11-14; quit being just a babe in God's Word. Some will neverget beyond the milk stage of the word. 1 Corinthians 3:2. Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.[You have been believers so long that you should be teaching others, but you need someone to take you back to the basic teachings of the Word. You are like babies needing milk and cannot digest solid food.] (I Corinthians 3:1-3)Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.[If you still live on the milk of the Word, you are still an infant and don't know how to do what is right]. (I Corinthians 13:11, 14:20, Ephesians 4:14)Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.[Solid food (in depth truth of the Word), is for those who are mature, those who don't want to be deceived, and through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. "It's called discerning the truth." (I Timothy 4:6-7, (I Corinthians 2:14-15, Philippians 1:9-10, I Thessalonians 5:21). Test everything that is said to be sure it is true. Check it out with the Word and stay focused on what is good].
