These KJV Bible verses explain what happens when a human dies; please use them during your studies of Gods word. Ecclesiastes 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. (Upon the death of this flesh body is what this verse is saying). Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. (This is a continuation of verse Matthew 22:31). Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. (God with us/Jesus Christ is telling the thief on the cross what will happen to him, and all others, upon death of their flesh bodies. It doesn't happen at a later date, it happens the day one dies [Today!]). 2 Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (I believe 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us the exact same thing as Luke 23:43 does. The day you die is the day you are present with the Lord). Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (The part of us that is left over when we die must go where God is to face judgment [Today, the day they die]). James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. The above verses say to me that when we die, our spirits and spiritual bodies depart this flesh, and immediately are with Him in Paradise/Heaven, where God is right now. We go there to face judgment. These flesh bodies are not needed any more, they're dead; they go back to dust/dirt/earth; in other words, they decompose. We have two bodies; see 1 Corinthians 15:40-44. This is exactly what I choose to believe. The God I choose to believe in is the God of the living. I've tried to connect the dots. After one studies the verses quoted, then one should pray and contemplate on this subject. It is recommended that then one should make up their own mind as to what they believe about this topic; let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. Keep studying my friends.
