I am the Way, the “only” way that leads to the Father, the truth that teaches the knowledge of God, and directs in the way, the Life that animates all those who seek and serve him, and which is to be enjoyed eternally at the end of the way This is a KJV Bible study guide. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.Christ is the Way:
(1). By his doctrine [His way], John 6:68; 2 John 1:9-11. (2). By his example, 1 Peter 2:21. (3). By his sacrifice, Hebrews 9:8-9. (4). By his Spirit, John 16:13. (5). He commands us to walk in His ways, Jeremiah 6:16. He is the Truth [John 1:1-5 and 17:17]: (1). In opposition to all false religions and teachings [deception, useless rituals, commandments and doctrines of men, etc.]. (2). To the Mosaic law, which was only the shadow, not the truth or substance, of the good things which were to come. (3). In respect to all the promises of God, 2 Corinthians 1:18-20.He is the Life, both in grace and glory; the life that not only saves from death, but destroys it (death, see Hebrews 2:14).No man cometh unto the Father: By any other doctrine, by any other merit, or by any other intercession other than Christ's. [There is no other way! This offer is made to all, no one is excluded as some think].By the way, He owns the souls of everyone already; Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, etc.!Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. All souls are mine says God! Including everything else.Genesis 2:7; Deuteronomy 10:14; Job 12:10; Psalm 24:1, 104:30 [spirit also]; Ezekiel 18:4; Revelation 4:11; If you are a true believer, your soul and spirit want to be with God anyway. So many so-called preachers get this so wrong, because they are biblically illiterate. They mislead people; not a good idea. No one is excluded; His offer is made to everyone. He never said His offer of salvation is only available to Christians! 1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [He died once for all of our sins. His sacrifice covers anyone that accepts it].1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; [See 1 Peter 4:6 above].1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (eight Adamic souls) John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. I believe the above verses explain that those that lived and died before Jesus Christ walked on this earth were given the same opportunity we have been given, “salvation” through His sacrifice. The above verses refer to when Jesus was in the tomb for 3 days; He was busy. Why would He exclude anyone regardless of the religion they practiced, when or where they lived and died? He wouldn’t, He is not a respecter of persons. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God is totally fair; John 3:16 declares this; salvation is available to all even if they never heard of Him. The word world does not mean “Earth”, it is talking about the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human family (all of them, past, present, future). I have heard that some denominations of Christians are telling others that those that may have never heard of Jesus Christ don’t have a chance for salvation. According to these verses (Revelation 20:11, 12 and 13) we can see that is not true. Everyone that did not make the first judgment will have a chance here at the second judgment at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ. Food for thought: If Jesus Christ is there, salvation is there and still available to those who choose it. More food for thought: Woe to Pastors that lead the sheep astray, teach falsely because of biblical illiteracy. See the following verses: Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. [It is very easy to understand this verse; look out false teachers]! Jeremiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. [False teachers drive people away from God. Those false teachers get what they deserve according to their own doings].Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. [God did not send many of those that call themselves prophets, preachers, teachers, men of God, etc. then or now].Jeremiah chapter 23 and Ezekiel chapter 13 are so important. Both of these chapters demonstrate God's feelings towards those that mislead others through false teachings; it couldn't be more clear! Again, you do not want to be guilty of leading people astray. To prevent that from happening, study the Bible as completely as possible; connect more of the dots and get a more complete picture. Don’t share an incomplete picture of Christianity with others. To not study makes it real easy to be deceived and to deceive others; don’t get in that boat my friend. Where does judgment begin? See 1 Peter 4:17 for your answer.Question: If you believe God excludes some people, why do you believe you are not one of them? Are you any better than anyone else? Read Romans 3:23; we have “all” fell short. Also, I suggest studying God’s word, connect the dots and get a more complete and true picture of His truth, what a concept.
